Come join the fun! Be a part of a public art project supporting plant conservation! Participants will receive a purple or orange T-shirt and stand in a formation to create the Orcutt’s woody aster Xylorhiza orcuttii, a rare daisy that is native to the Anza-Borrego Desert. A picture will then be taken of the “flowers” from the sky.
This event is hosted by the San Diego Zoo in conjunction with the Association of Zoological Horticulture (AZH) and Plant Conservation Day (May 18) to promote awareness and funding for plant conservaiton projects around the world.
Participants who wear the custom-designed purple or orange T-shirt will receive 20% off their one-day Zoo admission pass.
To register, call 619-231-1515, ext. 4298.
Meet at the San Diego Zoo’s overflow parking lot (across from the War Memorial Building). Park in the northwest corner of the Zoo’s parking lot.
